Celebrating 50 Successful Years

Customers, suppliers, former employees, and members of the community helped Gene and Dee Milstein and the present staff of Applewood Seed Company commemorate fifty years of business.

Applewood staff conducted tours of the trial gardens, seed warehouse, and seed laboratory. Attendees enjoyed the tours as well as congenial conversation, and delicious food and beverages in a flower-filled garden party setting. Gene regaled the group with anecdotes about the beginnings of Applewood Seed Co. with collected seed and hand-painted seed packets. He also expressed his appreciation for loyal customers past and present who helped make Applewood a successful endeavor all these years.
