Of the 20,000+ Native Bee species in the world, 4,000 are found in the U.S.
Most Native Bees do not live in hives or produce honey, but they are important pollinators.
They make nests underground, in wood or on twigs. Applewood’s horticulturists have photographed over 100 species in our own trial gardens including those pictured here.
