Sand Dropseed is a warm-season bunchgrass that is native throughout most of North America. It gets its name from the way it drops or ejects its seeds when the seed panicles dry out. Some birds and small mammals will eat the seeds. It is drought tolerant and is excellent for revegetation and erosion control.
