Sunflower ‘Henry Wilde’

Sunflower ‘Henry Wilde’ is a very old cultivar that grows 80-120 inches tall. The flowers occur on branching stems and have golden yellow petals with dark centers. It is good for cutting and will provide pollen and nectar to pollinators. Once flowers are spent, leave the seed heads for seed-eating birds such as goldfinches, cardinals, chickadees and jays. Sunflowers are easy-to-grow additions to the home garden and are recommended for the back of the border or along fences. Prefers sunny locations.
