Switchgrass ‘Blackwell’

Switchgrass ‘Blackwell’ is a rhizomatous, warm-season bunchgrass that is native throughout most of the U.S. It is a major component of the Tallgrass Prairie ecosystem. Blackwell originates from Blackwell, Oklahoma and is noted for its vigorous growth. Grows best on upland sites. Recommended for pasture mixes, erosion control and soil stabilization. It also provides good nesting habitat, cover and food for many different types of wildlife.
