(Coreopsis nuecensis)

This long-blooming annual wildflower is native to Texas and has yellow flowers with delicate red markings at the base of each petal. It is typically found in sandy soils of the Texas Coastal and Rio Grande Plains.  It is a drought tolerant species that is ideal for xeriscaping. Also recommended for beds and borders, wildflower mixtures, and pollinator conservation. Attracts butterflies and native bees.
